Scorpians Under Glass

A few updates…

Changed and added some links. Perhaps, the most interesting being the link to my Flickr page where some of my photos are hosted. Going through the photo archives and uploaded a few. My interest in photography has been sparked again. Bought a new Canon Elph SD870 IS. A nice digital P&S. Very impressive. It’s shoots great images. Should be quite entertaining while I further consider Digital SLR’s… and even then it’s the one you most likely always have with you. Nice stealthy little camera for voyeurs!

Also, I’ve been going through some Super 8 and video I have and editing it along with some audio. I hope to post something in the near future. Stay tuned…

admin

Just a few administrative updates.  I’ve discovered that I’m not much of a “blogger” but,  the “blog” page makes a nice hompage for my piece of the web.  Perhaps, I will be able to work with it more in the future. Meanwhile,  enjoy the minimalism!

Sounds

As foretold, I’ve restored a link to the Audio page and made a few other small changes. On the Sounds page there are a few pieces I’ve put together in the past few years. More concepts than “finished” work. I hope to add some of the older songs for fun and hopefully, some new things in the near future.

News from the Hermitage

Apparently, it is time for the seemingly, bi-annual, update of the Post Hermitage. During the interim, when not heavily engaged in the defense and upkeep of the Hermetic Fortress, I have been dabbling in the esoteric mysterys of both Free and Open source audio development of which, there are many promising signs of advancement. I’ve added a few new and interesting links that should keep anyone that may be interested busy for a while, if having stumbled upon this remote corner of the web, they should be so inclined. For your further amusement I have also, added a link to My Silly Space page, which has also, been updated. Checkout some of my friends, both old and new! Further, I am contemplating, both adding to and updating then restoring a link to my audio page but, am still working on that. More to follow…

SDF Celebrates 20 Years!

The SDF Public Access UNIX System Celebrates 20 Years!

SDF is celebrating twenty years of ongoing service.

“It was on June 16th, 1987 that the SDF-1 received its first caller at

300bps. This little Apple ][e BBS of the late 80s turned into a Public

Access UNIX System…” Full text here.

Thank You, SDF! Without SDF and everyone who contributes to it’s success-

Well, we would not have this nice blog or mail, webspace or handy publicly available Unix server, tools, etc., so..

The Post Hermitage would like to express it’s gratitude and high hope
for all future success of the SDF.

SDF 20 Years!
